A weed is any plant out of place.
The sedge grass that has graced us with it's presence at the garden is most certainly a weed! In cahoots with Mission Lab here in New Orleans, a group of folks from Bradenton Florida worked hard to remove the sedge grass out of our field of peas. The peas are functioning as a cover crop to replenish the soil with nitrogen and the sedge, it's just plain pesky.
Thanks for battling the sedge ya'll!
