We've been seeding and transplanting these last few weeks. We're going to give the currant tomatoes another go and we are trying out a new basil. This particular basil carries sweet notes along with a spicy undertone. The spice is liken to clove. We look forward to enjoying this pleasant basil in salads and perhaps we'll even try to whip some pesto!
Here are a few transplanting tips:
* Handle the baby plant as little as possible, when removing it from the plug trays use the leaves to remove as opposed to the stem
* The best time to transplant is late afternoon/ evening
* Be sure to water thoroughly after transplanting
this is holy basil, native to India, and known for its pleasant aroma
